Occasionally, an artist who transcends cultural and world influences emerges to create something new and original. Falcon is one of those artists.

Omaira Falcon is a spiritual singer/songwriter, poet, composer, producer, visual artist, and solo-performer with a unique style, vibrant energy, and iconic voice. Her music is a blend of genres and styles with a universal message that the healing power of love lives within all of us, and if we relax it will awaken us to our full creative and spiritual potential.

Musical Influences

Influenced by singer/songwriters of many genres: folk, folk-pagan, folk-rock, pop-rock, indie-pop, alternative-rock, and nueva canción (new song).

Omaira’s Source of Inspiration

“Existence itself in this form at this time on this beautiful planet in this infinite universe that is constantly reinventing itself, is a gift that I don’t take for granted. Every second I breathe in the beauty of the changing landscape, the movement of the sun, the songs of birds, the sounds of all creatures and plants moving about on this amazing little planet. The swaying back and forth of the trees in the changing winds like a mother rocking her baby to sleep fills my heart with joy. This is why I sing. Music has always been for me a form of worship to this divine existence — a thank you prayer to the Great divine source of life. In sad times, in hard times, in good times, in honor of the ups and downs of life in general, I sing. Music has allowed me to discover genuine freedom and happiness and become aware of the power inherited within myself to transform my suffering into joy, anger into compassion, and fear into kindness.

Favorite Pass Time

Falcon’s favorite pass time is tending her wild garden, spending time with her family and pets in the couch watching mystical or science fiction movies with a metaphysical twist, or playing in the water and taking a nap on the sandy beaches of the gulf coast and nearby rivers. And she never grows tired of playing ping-pong!

Omaira’s Life Journey:

Born in New York City, Omaira completed a four year tour with the U.S. Army serving as a soldier overseas at the age of 21. Besides being a soldier, she has worked in many fields and held various roles in life: project manager, dreamer, visionary, beach-lover, music-lover, military light-wheel vehicle mechanic, quality assurance evaluator, secretary, emergency dispatcher, college student, student of esoteric teachings, information technology manager, web manager, visual information specialist, friend to the dying, elderly care-taker, gardener, movie-lover, pet-lover, wild-life sanctuary keeper, gardener, landscaper, and so on. In doing so she has learned to harness the power of self-knowledge and universal awareness to grow creatively in spite of the challenges along the way.

“All these experiences have afforded me an opportunity to peel the layers of what I’m NOT down to my true essence and become an instrument of love in service to life. ”

Falcon was raised in a Christian household where she learned from her family how to play drums and sing spiritual songs at a very young age. As a life-long student of ancient spiritual and philosophical teachings: Buddhism, Taoism, Theosophy, and Baul, she doesn’t cling to any particular religion or philosophy. “The source of all religions, philosophies, belief systems, sciences, and life itself is love.”
